On the second day of “Kirtan is 2020 Vision of Cambodia” festival, we organized a tour to Hariharalaya Yoga Center, Bakong district and then to Tonle Sap lake where we did kirtan for several hours in the boat. At Hariharalaya center, we performed Go Puja to Mr Joel’s Surabhi, a lovely local cow, to invoke auspiciousness for our center. We keep performing go-puja at every opportunity.
We were about 15 devotees from the town, Mr. Joel (the owner of Hariharalaya) and staff and friends whom he had invited to join the go puja and trip to Tonle sap lake.
Kirtiraja Prabhu did the Arati for Go Puja as everybody chanted “OM Sri Surabhyai Namah!”, followed by the chanting of Mahamantra. The participating devotees then offered bananas to Surabhi.
Hariharalaya is a very nicely organized Yoga Center, so much so TripAdvisor ranked “Hariharalaya” really high with 4 stars, implying its fame as a favorite place for yoga training in Siem Reap.
After Go Puja and Prasadam of Khmer rice and vegetable curry, we left for the lake on a bus. Altogether we were 30 sittings together in the boat, singing Hare Krishna Mahamantra together for almost four hours. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the boat kirtan with different devotees like Vishnurata Prabhu, Padasevana Prabhu, Yadava Hari Prabhu, Kisora Krishna Prabhu and Radhika Radha Mataji from Russia leading the kirtan. All of them besides being good kirtaniyas, are expert Harmonium players also.
Till the sunset down, we kept chanting. The day was full of Mother cow’s mercy, giving us the energy to serve and chanting Hare Krishna more and more.
