Devotees was invited by neighbor to join the ceremony on 21st-22nd July in Wat Pothikosal, Tapov Village, Koh Chen Commune, Ponhea Leu District, Kandal Province. The ceremony is placing the cremation ash of their elder who passed away several months ago. They make a stupa ( called chediy in Khmer language) in front of pagoda. On the first day, they perform Saen Krong Pheally‘ with different offering.  It is also continued by prayer by priest called ‘Kru Achar.  Later on also prayer by monks. On the prayer they worship different personalities from ancestors and demigods. The ceremony accompanied by Cambodian traditional music instruments.

On the second day, continued by some prayer and then giving alm food to monks of the pagoda after speech about buddhist teaching by one local monk there.

We also get chance to get in contact with people there. They are relatives of the host. We also meet some children and teach them to chant Hare Krishna Mahamantra and give them biscuit prasadam.
