On 17th May, 2013 Bhakta Philips, originally from England, visited the farm. Bhakta Philips is familiar with the village life style, he easily get in touch with the children and villagers. His mother is the principle of one international school in Phnom Penh. Both of him and his mother seem have been in Asia for many years. He has spent time also in Vietnam, and KompotProvince(Cambodia).
On the day we went to the farm, road was very dusty. It took about 1,5 hours journey. When we arrived at the village many boys came, wanted to see us. As usual, on my visit to the farm, there will be many children, and some of them will be shouting Hare Krishna, or some they say “Loek India” which mean Indian Monk, because they have noticed me as an Indian. We distributed dry sweet prasadam to each of them. They like those sweet very much.
On the way to farm we visited Mr Korn house, our friend guide. He is one of our target preaching actually, and we were happy to see Gaura Nitai Happy Dolls are still in their home. Later on we continue to reach the farm, then we met Mr Ngun family who stay there. Mr Ngun was constructing their new cottage, look very nice, simple, and natural. Bhakta Philips got the idea to make a similar cottage but with more like hotel facility, in that way if we can register this as a business, we can have like 10-20 of that huts and we can rent to the guests. Many more idea come from Bhakta Philips, actually he right now is writing a proposal for solar panel project for some other people, and suggests us to have also some solar panel at the farm. In that way we can have energy to pump water, which make us more easily to maintain garden. Then he mentions we can have cows, bulls, and gardens. He mention this farm could be like Eco Village “ preaching by showing the model” , and the guest can pay the rent for hut, food, milk, fruits, which could be an income for the farm, or to maintain the labor. Because he said making someone working without paying them is again the law.
Few weeks ago devotees also when out to some village nearby the town. Kumudaksa Prabhu along with the guests from Korea; Prabhu Amitava and wife, and one friend devotees, Om Prakash Prabhu. They went together to distribute prasadam at Kouchork Coumune. Actually Amitava Prabhu are the one who are very expert in this service because he him self has the NGO in Bangladesh and Korea, which working in the Rural development by building simple school and prasadam distribution. We were very happy to get their association, and on August they planning to come again, so we will ready for another village program.
